Founded in 2008, Browne Design Consulting, has participated in projects of all scales involving interior design, retail design, architecture, urban design, furnishings, space planning and site planning.  Providing our clients with a comprehensive list of services, our Birmingham based firm also specializes in multi-family housing, mixed-use developments, retail centers, corridor improvement plans, and marijuana retail locations.   Our talented group of junior and senior designers, known for their creativity and unparalleled passion for design, work closely with other companies to provide a diverse range of abilities for our clients.  This collaboration makes Browne Design Consulting a unique one-stop-shop for design and architecture services.

Shala Preimer

Senior Interior Designer

Born and raised in Metro Detroit, Shala’s passion for art and design began as a small child. She knew all along her dream was to become an interior designer but the path there was nothing short of a journey. She first graduated from beauty school and then went on to pursue an Associate’s degree in Business Management. In April 2014, Shala graduated from Eastern Michigan University, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. After graduating, she began working within the Residential Design space before moving onto Commercial Interior Design. Shala found her niche when presented with an opportunity to design her first marijuana dispensary and has been designing within the Cannabis Industry ever since. Her main objective is to design environmentally conscious, sustainable, and innovative spaces,
while always adding a splash of unique Detroit flare!

David Lewis

Lead Urban Designer

David Lewis earned his master’s degree from the School of Architecture & Design at Lawrence Technological University. Prior to graduation, he was awarded the Outstanding Student Project of the year from the Michigan Association of Planning (MAP/APA Michigan). He also coauthored the publication “Mid-Century Modern Design Guidelines”. David’s Bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University is in the
complimentary field of Urban Planning, where he was honored by the department with the Student of the Year award. David’s career reflects his dedication to the revitalization of the urban realm through his design
work specializing in Land-Use Planning, Master Planning, Environmental Planning, and LEED ND Certifications. Originally from Bloomfield Hills, he currently resides in Birmingham.

Mi Pham

Junior Interior Designer

Mi was born in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Her family immigrated to the U.S. at the age of seven. Mi has had the opportunity to live in multiple states but now calls Michigan her permanent home. Mi has always
believed in the philosophy that art exists in everything, and that there would be no life without art. Most of her adolescent years revolved around art and creativity in one form or another, ranging from fine art to music, photography, and even fashion. Eventually, she found a passion for design and pursued her bachelor’s degree in Interior Design at Eastern Michigan University. Mi hopes to incorporate her love
and knowledge of art and history into her designs to create beautiful and profound environments.

Taylor Clark

Junior Interior Designer

Taylor was raised in the metro Detroit area and has lived here throughout her life. At an early age she developed a love for interior design. Her passion first began to flourish at the age of 14, when she started working with her grandmother renovating historic homes in the local area. Taylor is currently a senior at Eastern Michigan University, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. Some of her academic achievements include multiple design projects which have been presented at Eastern Michigan University’s Undergraduate Symposium. Being one that naturally enjoys solving everyday problems, Taylor finds satisfaction in providing thoughtful solutions that improve the aesthetic and functional experience of a space. While constantly learning and growing as a designer, she is grateful to work with the diverse and knowledgeable team at Browne Design Consultants!
